For the last several years local board members, have increased their involvement in the legislative process to achieve needed school and program reforms. All these efforts are focused on the goal that every student is entitled to a quality education in a safe and disciplined environment.

The mission of the North Carolina School Boards Association, as an advocate for public school education, is to provide leadership and services that enable local boards of education to govern effectively.
