North Carolina school board members must comply with NC law regarding ethics and conflicts of interest, and they must receive a minimum of 12 hours of training every two years. These three policies address these legal requirements.

Beginning January 6, 2020, LEAs are required to use the new federal Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse for Commercial Drivers License holders. A summary of LEAs’ obligations, along with links to resources for more information, is available here.
In September 2019, NCSBA issued a revision to its teacher contract policy to comply with new teacher contract requirements.
