About the training:
New board members will have the opportunity to learn about their responsibilities as leaders of public schools during this two-day workshop. Participants will receive information on basic boardsmanship, including board-superintendent relations, the legislative process, school finance, school law, the board’s role in policy making and NCSBA services. Also included is the required two hours of training in ethics. This seminar provides a wonderful opportunity for new and veteran board members to begin dialog with their superintendent about working well together.
If you participated in one of the January 2017 School Board 101 sessions, please complete the evaluation and the form below to receive training credit.
