This webinar, aimed at teachers and school administrators, will provide an overview of the law pertaining to religion in the schools with a focus on issues most likely to arise in the day-to-day operation of the schools. While the webinar will discuss the types of activities that are not permissible under the Establishment Clause, it will also address activities that are permissible, such as an individual student’s right to pray privately or with a group of other students, the extent of a student’s right to discuss his or her religious beliefs in school assignments, students’ right to form religious clubs, and other similar topics.
