In continuing the recognition of Elkin City Schools’ board members, the spotlight this week will focus on ECS’s newest members, Dr. Jane Riley and Frank Beals.
Riley is a school counselor and marriage and family therapist. She holds a B.S. in psychology from St. Andrews University, an M.S. in family and child development from Winthrop University, and a Ph.D. in marriage and family therapy from the University of Georgia. Riley has two children, Kate and Case, and four grandchildren, Isabella, Nicholas, Lillie and Sawyer.
Beals is a financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments. Prior to Edward Jones, Beals was parks manager at Walt Disney World. He holds both a B.S. in electrical engineering and an M.S. in business administration from the University of Central Florida. Beals and wife, Lisa, have three children, Courtney, Cameron, and Chandler Ann.
Each member of Elkin City Schools Board of Education does an outstanding job of carrying out his/her responsibilities. The school system celebrates their accomplishments and extends its sincere appreciation to every member and their families for all the time and hard work they devote to the students and staff of Elkin City Schools.
