Students in Onslow County participated in this year’s Elementary Science Olympiad for the district’s STEM projects.
18 students from 13 elementary schools participated in Saturday’s event.
Each challenge or event gave students the chance to put their knowledge to the test.
STEM education is a pivotal part of the science Olympiad and the students have been preparing for months just to get to this event.
This is the second year the district hosted the Olympiad.
“I get so excited. It’s just a whole lot of fun, regardless if they know the answers to not. They do not care,” said coordinator, Michelle Chadwick.
